Villa Anka

Podaca

Villa Anka is found in the picturesque village of Old Podaca which is nestled at the foot of the Biokovo mountain range, 350 metres above sea level. The village is now completely deserted and you, as the guests of Villa Anka, will be the sole inhabitants of this special place. Sitting on the terrace under the grapevines and watching the sun set over the Mediterranean , you can now begin to relax far from the madding crowd. Up here the air is fresh and clean, redolent with the fresh smells of herbs and pine forests. The only disturbance in the stillness will be the calming sound of birdsong. Distance from sea and beach is 1800 meters .

Despite this splendid isolation, the pristine Adriatic with its magnificent bays and beaches is just over a kilometre away, as are bars and restaurants, a supermarket and post office, as well as the main bus route along the Dalmatian coast which enables access to the prime tourist sights of the Adriatic . Even though Villa Anka is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the 21 st century, the farmhouse can be easily reached by a sealed road directly from modern day Podaca, which is now situated on the main highway and lies halfway between Split and Dubrovnik .
